Veronica Wright
Veronica Wright is a fifth-generation Arizona native and has lived in North Phoenix since she was a child. She holds an Associate of Arts degree and a long history of working in education. As a child of a public educator, most of her jobs prior to becoming a mom were in the education sphere including being a paraprofessional, an attendance clerk, and finally working for a local tech company that serviced K-12 school nutrition professionals. Veronica has always had a heart for youth and has felt God calling her to be involved with them. For several years prior to becoming parents, she and her husband were youth leaders in their church’s youth program, The Refuge, and went on many trips and grew lasting bonds with the students.
Veronica is a devoted girl mom to three girls. Her oldest Emilia and youngest Kathryn keep her on her toes while her middle daughter, Mila, has been living with Jesus since 2021. She had always had the intention of sending her kids to public school as this is where she attended and has watched her mom work for most of her life. However, as with most things God had other, better plans. After her oldest turned one in 2020 Veronica began asking God for guidance regarding education and felt Him distinctly call her to homeschool. She followed this prompting and began researching curriculums and ideas to prepare her for teaching. When her oldest was about to turn four she started preschool in earnest and hasn’t looked back since. Most recently, Veronica felt God impress upon her heart to be part of a homeschool community and followed the prompting to reach out to Ignite.
When she isn’t homeschooling or entertaining her girls, you can find Veronica reading a good book or running, oftentimes with a stroller. She cannot wait to see what God will do in this community and is excited to make a difference in the lives of students.
