Tammy Mitchell
Tammy’s love of art began as a child - like most littles - and never got out of her system! As a young mother of 7, she taught painting classes to many children and adults for several years. She designed and wrote 8 “How To” decorative painting publications and began a decorative painting business which led to co-owning a custom and unfinished furniture shop with her husband. Tammy earned degrees in both Graphic Design and Interior Design from Glendale and Scottsdale Community Colleges. Her passion for good design and visual communication has been a great asset to her career path leading to custom cabinet and millwork design for the past 8 years.
Tammy is a firm believer that art is a powerful skillset to learn and enjoy! Art is practical and useful to communicate an idea, a plan, instructions, events, truths, and beauty. It develops a child’s critical thinking and problem-solving skills, hand/eye coordination, personal expression, and to really see and enjoy this big, beautiful world the Lord made. Tammy is grateful to share her deep passion for the Lord and art at Ignite this year!
