Sendy was raised in a Christian home with early memories of sitting in Bible class and spending countless hours in worship activities, knocking on doors, mission trips, and various youth events. After deciding to dedicate her life to Jesus, she was baptized at 11. Her sixth-grade Bible class teacher influenced her decision to pursue a degree in religious education, which she began working toward in 1998. Since then, she has been involved with faith-based education, teaching children’s bible classes, homeschooling co-ops, and engaging with other mothers in Bible studies and Charlotte Mason discussion groups.

Both Sendy and her husband were educated in public schools. However, they both felt the Lord guide them toward home education. After focusing on her family and homeschooling for 18 years, she renewed her pursuit of completing a bachelor’s degree. She is thrilled to continue her journey with the homeschool community, pouring into the children and families of Ignite and sharing the love of Jesus.

Sendy is a dedicated tutor and educator, radiating enthusiasm for storytelling and the world's natural wonders. With a genuine passion for nurturing young minds, she delights in guiding children to uncover their unique creative voices through the enchanting realms of literature. Throughout her courses, she walks alongside her students, inviting them to step into the pages of books and explore the vibrant landscapes of their imaginations. Together, they tiptoe through fantastical worlds, soar across the tapestry of time, and immerse themselves in a rich universe woven with words, where each story becomes an adventure waiting to unfold.
