Mrs. Patty Larson originally hails from Chicago where she received a full-ride scholarship to the Art Institute. While there, she founded the Plainfield Art League of Illinois. She and her family moved to Arizona in 2007. Shortly after moving to Arizona, the Larson family began attending a large Church in Surprise. She is currently a very active member of Reclaim Church in Peoria AZ. and remains active in the Women’s, Welcome, and Small Groups Ministry to this day. Mrs. Larson completed her Pastoral Certification classes at ASOM (Arizona School of Ministry) in 2020.

Because of her creative gifts and her passion for teaching, Mrs. Larson has always combined these two areas whenever possible. She has juried numerous shows throughout the Valley, worked on demonstrative events, and painted murals across the Valley including WHAM (What's Happening Art Movement) and EMAG (El Mirage Art Group). She has juried and taught Art is Alive in Surprise, which is an annual student art show, and has directed an art and poetry show each year since 2008. Throughout her career, Mrs. Larson has been a featured artist at various galleries in Arizona and Illinois. She has years of experience in teaching art and sharing Jesus with young people as well as adults. Including teaching fourteen to seventeen different Art classes per week constantly at a large not-for-profit homeschooling community in Surprise, Glendale, and Peoria AZ., for the past seventeen years.

Her students range in age from five to ninety-five! Working with students of all levels and in every sort of educational setting, Mrs. Larson instills awe for the Creator in her students as she strives to bring glory to God in all that she shares and creates. Presently, she runs a home business, called Artistic Creations and teaches art classes. She believes teaching is exciting and rewarding because she loves that moment when she sees the expression on her students’ faces when they realize they used their own hands to create their artwork!  Serving as the art teacher for ten years at K.E.Y.S. of AZ., Mrs. Larson is happy to be a part of our homeschooling family. Her youngest son graduated from homeschooling in May 2017.  She looks forward to sharing her passion for art and Jesus with her new students.
