Kendra has been an educator for 28 years. She began her teaching career in the public school system in 1996, and still currently holds a K-8 teaching certificate in the state of Arizona. She has homeschooled her children for the last 18 years, graduating two of them with one more to go. She has also taught in various homeschool co-ops and group tutoring contexts.  Her husband, Jeff, pastors a church so she is very involved there as well. She is currently the worship leader and director of women’s ministries. In past years, she has been the children’s ministry director as well as a teacher in the preschool and elementary classes. When their church had a daycare/preschool, she was the acting preschool director for a year as well.

Needless to say, she loves children and young people and her desire is that they learn and grow into who they were created to be! Kendra has skills and experience that will make her a great fit on the Ignite board and as a tutor. She works well with others and enjoys collaborating on ideas to make things the best they can be. Her hope is to help make Ignite a healthy and thriving organization that will be a blessing to the homeschool community for years to come.
