Erin Rathier

Erin Rathier graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. She had plans to become a High School English teacher when God called her into full-time Youth Ministry. Erin has spent the last 27 years working with 4th-12th graders, helping them learn who they are as Kingdom builders. She has been a Youth Pastor, Children’s Pastor, has written curriculum for youth and adults, written and directed children’s musicals, and enjoyed watching young people become passionate followers of Jesus.

Twelve years ago, Erin and her husband, Mike, felt God calling them to homeschool their three children, two who have now graduated and their last one now entering her senior year. Homeschooling has been Erin’s greatest blessing, and six years ago she began tutoring and leading ministry in the homeschool community.   Erin currently leads the small group ministry at her church, is still writing and is still passionate about helping young people follow God in all areas of their life.  It is Erin’s greatest desire that every student who steps into the ministries at Ignite will feel loved and valued by God, and every adult they encounter here.

Over the last four years, God has been showing up over and over again through her homeschool ministry involvement. (You really should ask about all He has done.)  In 2023, God began stirring in her heart that it was time to take a new step in ministry for homeschoolers.  Luckily, God put the same ideas on Andrea Winn’s heart and Ignite was born.  Erin is sooo excited to see all that God will do this year!
