Cara Hively holds an Early Childhood teaching degree from Olivet Nazarene University (IL) and began her career as a Kindergarten teacher at Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis, IN. After taking some time off to raise her two sons, Cara and her family moved to Arizona in 2013, where she taught kindergarten for 10 years at Northwest Christian followed by tutoring 1st to 4th grade students in a variety of subjects. 

Outside of work, Cara and her family enjoy exploring different parts of the world whenever they have the chance. She and her husband, Ryan, also have a tradition of hosting Youth Group teens on Wednesday nights, creating a fun and Christ-centered environment for her teenage sons and their friends. 

Cara’s dedication to serving in Christian education over the years has provided countless blessings, and she is excited to continue her journey in Christian education with Ignite. Cara is eager to meet you and your family!
