Brenda has been married to her husband, Tom, for fifty wonderful years, and she is a mother to four and grandmother to ten rowdy grandchildren, ranging from five to twenty-two. She even raised one of Ignite’s Directors (Erin) and positively spoiled one of our tutors (Maddy) as she grew up! Brenda, affectionately referred to as Mimi by her grandkids and their friends, has been involved in homeschooling for many years. She homeschooled her own daughter for a few years and has helped to homeschool several of her grandchildren in different subjects over the years.

Brenda met Jesus when she was thirteen years old and has loved Him all her life. She has served in the church in a variety of ways over the years including youth groups, youth camp, and in the nursery. She has been a part of many Bible studies over the last thirty years, including CBS where she was also the preschool leader for a time. In addition to her love of Jesus, Brenda loves to be creative! She has been designing and sewing pieces, from clothing to quilts, since she was twelve years old, and many of her creations have been worn, used, and treasured by her family for years. Brenda is so excited to meet your families and share her knowledge, skill, and love of sewing with the Ignite community this year.
