Andrea Winn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Andrea planned to work with deaf and hard-of-hearing students, but shortly after graduating, God called Andrea into Children’s Ministry. She accepted a position at a church in Colorado building a fun ministry with an amazing team. In 2011, with a two-year-old and a baby on the way, the Winn family began their homeschooling journey with their oldest daughter who was starting 8th grade. Andrea and her family moved to Arizona in 2013 where they continued to homeschool all three daughters. Andrea’s oldest daughter homeschooled through high school, graduated, went to college, and was married in October 2019. Andrea’s two younger daughters continue to homeschool and are now in middle school and high school. In 2020, Andrea felt led to start tutoring after seeing students struggling with the switch to online and homeschooling. In August of that year, she began tutoring writing for homeschooled students in middle and high school, and she fell in love with being in the classroom and the homeschool community. Homeschooling and tutoring students has been an amazing blessing to Andrea, and she looks forward to continuing to share the love of Jesus through Ignite.
