Amy graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences. She met her husband of 28 years while studying at Michigan State. Post-graduation, she worked in healthcare, specifically phlebotomy, medical laboratory testing, and training at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. Following the Lord’s direction, Amy began homeschooling her children in 2008 and discovered a love for teaching. She’s been teaching in the homeschool community ever since. All three of her children have graduated high school, with her oldest two completing their bachelor’s degrees and her youngest currently enrolled at GCU. Amy loves Jesus and loves to bring a Christian worldview to science. She has a passion for helping and encouraging homeschool students to do their very best even if they have no plans to study science after high school.
